Summary
|
Mike does some soul-searching in this Thanksgiving episode of the drama. When the holiday arrives, Mike feels his list of things to be grateful for is coming up short. Not only has Heather filed for divorce, but she's also planned for Mike Jr. to spend the holiday away from home. And the cabbie's spirits sink even lower when a homeless man (John Heard) abruptly dies in his taxi after sharing some scholarly knowledge of classical music - and a few somewhat cryptic words of regret and advice. After a sleep-deprived Mike sees a vision in which he's warned by the deceased not to 'make my mistake,' the former cop reflects on the road his life has taken. Identifying the John Doe becomes a mission for Olshansky, who attempts to learn about his past and what mistakes led him to this sad and lonely existence. Touched by Olshansky's deep desire to grant the man's final wish to go home, Heather, Marcellus and Mike Jr. help him gather clues in an effort to identify the man and contact his surviving family.
