Olshansky helps Liz with one of her patients, Myra, who just completed a drug-related probation, locate the baby girl she sold in an illegal adoption over a year ago. Olshansky strongly disapproves of Myra's action and questions her fitness as a mother; however, Liz convinces him to pursue the child's whereabouts. After tracking down Myra's ex-boyfriend and learning to whom he sold the infant, Olshansky enlists Marcellus' aid to locate the lawyer who then doctored evidence making the adoption appear legal. Meanwhile, Marcellus' obsessive monitoring of Deborah's relationship with a new man causes Olshansky to wonder if his friend actually wants to reconcile with his wife or is only acting out of jealousy.
