Michael Klein reports a Hack sighting in his March 6, 2003 Inqlings column in the Philadelphia Inquirer:
Call off the choppers
Last evening's antiwar protests in Center City did more than snarl traffic. The thwack-thwack of the TV news helicopters frustrated crews shooting the CBS series Hack in a garage on 15th Street. The Hack types called Sharon Pinkenson, head of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, to see if she could "get them swept," according to producer Nan Bernstein. Just as Pinkenson starting calling, producers broke for dinner. When the crew returned, the skies were clear. (3/6)

No Hack Fast National ratings, today, since CBS pre-empted Hack on Friday, February 28, 2003 at 9:00 PM for a performance presentation of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.
But with that show, CBS came in fourth in the 9:00 PM hour on February 28, behind even FOX's Baywatch special, which averaged 4.2/7 for the hour.
Reviewing the prior Hack ratings, for even repeated Hack episodes, the Fast Nationals have never been as low as 4.2/7, for CBS, Friday, 9:00 PM. Much less even lower than that, as they apparently were, on February 28. (3/1)

Marc Berman in Mediweek.com's Programming Insider column reports the Nielsen Overnight ratings for Hack Episode Third Strike, listing Hack in the "Looks Like a Keeper" category:
"Although the power of Law & Order: SVU at 10 p.m. (#1 for the night: 12.0/19) was enough to keep NBC in the winner's circle, the observation of note was CBS's Hack (7.4/12) inching past NBC's competing Dateline (7.3/12) by one-tenth of a rating point at 9 p.m. Maybe the time is indeed right for Jane Pauley to jump ship." (2/24)
