The CBS Special Ice Wars that pre-empted Hack and The District on Saturday, November 29, 2003 earned a fast nationals Nielsen rating of 4.2/7 (for the 9:00 PM hour) and 4.2/8 (for the 10:00 PM hour), easily beat by NBC's airing of the Nicolas Cage movie The Family Man, which earned 7.2/13 (for the 9:00 PM hour) and 8.8/15 (for the 10:00 PM hour). In the Final Nielsen Ratings for the week of November 17 through November 23, 2003 Hack Episode 2-9, To Have and Have Not came in at 9.4 Mms viewers, 5.9/10, #53.

The episode ranked as the number two most highly rated program on Saturday (behind CBS' The District, 10.5 Mms viewers, 6.8/12, #40).

Zap2it reports the Fast National Ratings for Saturday's 11/22/2003 Hack episode To Have and Have Not:

CBS won the 9 p.m. hour with Hack, 6.1/11, while ABC was second at an average of 5.2/10 with the Wonderful World of Disney original holiday movie, Eloise at Christmastime. FOX's America's Most Wanted, placed at 4.6/8, just ahead of NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent, 4.5/8. (11/23)

CBS is preempting Hack next Friday, November 29, 2003 in favor of an Ice Skating program (in the Seatlle/Tacoma area). Other programming might air in other markets. (11/23)

The third season of Homicide: Life on the Streets, which includes the episode Colors that David appeared in, has just been released on DVD. Homicide was an excellent TV series, which incidentally starred Andre Braugher, David's current co-star in Hack.

Colors is featured on Disc 6 of this third season set, so check for it at your local DVD rental location or at Netflix. (11/22)

There is an unconfirmed report that CBS has picked up Hack for 5 more episodes for the 2003-2004 season, beyond the original 13 episodes for the 2nd season ordered last May. This would be 4 less than the normal 9 episodes usually ordered that comprise a complete season.

CBS completed its sweep of the night with The District, 6.2/11, at 10 p.m. A rerun of Law & Order: SVU averaged 5.4/10 for NBC, while ABC scored a 2.8/5 with a repeat of 8 Simple Rules."
